Happy August! I hope you are all enjoying the off season - you know…no traffic, no restaurant reservations needed! Soon enough our snowbird friends will be back so enjoy while you can!

 

I also hope you are enjoying all our regularly scheduled events and special events. Thank you to all of our Event Coordinators and our Events Co-Chairwomen for finding such fun things to do! We have another great special event planned for August.

 

Tour of the Baker Museum in Naples followed by lunch at the Waterside Shops.

 

Thanks to all of you who are participating in our Summer Luncheon Series! We have had a fun time gathering at local restaurants to support them during the off season. Our August luncheon and business meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 20th at Oak & Stone - Craft Kitchen in Estero. Given the semi-private area, we will not have a speaker this month. Please remember to wear your name tag as we won’t have the table tents with names (so no assigned seating!). 

 

Please visit the Member Activity section of the website often so you don’t miss out on our regular and special events! Also, if you need to cancel an event you have registered for, please be respectful of your ENC sisters and do so in a timely manner.

 

We will continue to support our 3rd quarterly charity - The Community Cooperative whose mission it is to eliminate hunger and homelessness in southwest Florida while simultaneously inspiring and supporting sustained positive change in its clients by delivering innovative food, education and social service programs. All proceeds collected at our July, August and September luncheons will be donated to this worthwhile cause. Don’t forget, you can also pre-purchase raffle tickets online if you prefer to use a credit card. Just visit the Member Activity section of the website to pre-purchase raffle tickets. Tickets will be distributed at the luncheons.

 

Just a reminder, we will continue to collect new or like new items for the multiple raffle baskets we will be raffling off to support our fourth quarter charities. Please consider donating them for a worthy cause! You can bring them to the luncheon or contact Linda Shull or me, and we will come to pick them up! Please consider joining the committee who will help to create the beautiful baskets! 

 

We are approaching Board of Directors elections for the 2027 year. Please consider getting involved as a Board Member or Coordinator. The longevity of our club depends on your participation. We are still looking for my replacement (as President) as well as a Secretary. Please reach out if you are interested. I can tell you my time as President has been extremely rewarding and I look forward to staying involved!
